In 2019, Victoria Eze was running IoT infrastructure for Arcturus Industrial Systems — a mid-size precision manufacturing firm based in the Boston area. She managed around 3,200 vibration and temperature sensors across six CNC machining lines. The tooling her team had was a SCADA system built for process engineers, a spreadsheet of 3,200 MAC addresses, and a shared email inbox that received every alert regardless of severity.
Firmware updates required scheduling a maintenance window on Sunday nights, coordinating with a contractor who knew the vendor's CLI tool, and praying nothing bricked. When a spindle sensor on Line 4 started drifting its heartbeat interval from 30 seconds to 4 minutes — a symptom of firmware degradation — nobody noticed for eleven days. The quality fallout cost three days of rework.
She spent the next year looking for a tool that a shift supervisor could use to manage a fleet that large without a DevOps background. The options were either developer-first platforms requiring Kubernetes manifests, or enterprise SCADA integrators requiring six-figure professional services. Victoria co-founded Iotpathway in 2021 to close that gap.

Floor engineers are the user
Every feature decision starts with "can a shift supervisor do this without calling IT?" If the answer is no, we haven't built it right yet.
Reliability over features
Sensor management infrastructure needs to be boring and dependable. We're not building features that impress in a demo and break in production.
Onboarding with real customers
Every new customer gets time with Victoria or Marcus during onboarding. We learn from how people actually use the platform, not from usage analytics alone.
Transparent about what we are and aren't
Iotpathway is not a SCADA replacement. It doesn't replace your process control layer or your historian. It manages the devices themselves — provisioning, firmware, health, and alerts. We tell customers exactly that before they sign up.
